John McGarvey has been reappointed to serve another four-year term representing Kentucky with the Uniform Law Commission (ULC). McGarvey was first appointed in 2006. As a division chair for the ULC, he also serves on the Permanent Editorial Board for the Uniform Commercial Code.
The ULC, also known as the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, provides states with non-partisan legislation that brings clarity and stability to critical areas of state statutory law. McGarvey will join other state uniform law commissioners to study and review the law of the states to determine which areas of law should be uniform. (Source: uniformlaws.org)
