Transylvania University recently recognized M&P attorney Michele Whittington for her direct contributions of leadership and service to Transylvania. The Distinguished Service Award was presented at the Alumni Celebration Convocation on Saturday, April 28, in Carrick Theater, Mitchell Fine Arts Center.
Michele’s legal practice focuses on state and local taxation and administrative law. With more than thirty years of experience, she has represented taxpayers in a wide variety of tax and administrative matters, including real and personal property tax protests, public service corporation tax matters, occupational and license taxes, tax exemptions, and insurance company taxes.
Michele graduated from Transylvania University with a degree in political science and attended University of Kentucky College of Law.
