Sarah Mattingly recently appeared in Commerce Lexington’s Ambassador Spotlight in the June issue of Business Focus. Sarah began volunteering as an ambassador for the chamber in 2014. Ambassadors help to educate members on benefits and programs and represent Commerce Lexington at a variety of events, from ribbon cuttings and grand openings to networking functions and open houses. At M&P, Sarah’s practice focuses on Business Transactions & Acquisitions, Commercial Litigation, Residential & Commercial Real Estate and Banking & Finance.

This month’s Ambassador Spotlight is Sarah S. Mattingly, an associate attorney with Morgan & Pottinger, P.S.C., (M&P) a full-service law firm representing large and small financial institutions, businesses, and individual clients throughout Kentucky and Indiana. It provides the experience found in large firms with the level of service found in smaller firms. It also successfully combines cost-effective, experienced legal representation with the highest level of personal service and attention.
Sarah moved to Lexington in 2008 to attend law school at the University of Kentucky, and fell in love with Lexington. While in law school, Sarah clerked for M&P and found that it was a perfect fit for her. “Lexington is small city feel mixed with a successful and vibrant economy,” she added.
As an associate attorney, Mattingly concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial transactions, including commercial loan documentation, commercial litigation, real estate and banking regulations. She seeks to provide advice tailored to the needs of the client in a cost effective manner.
When she spoke about serving on the Commerce Lexington Inc. Ambassador Committee, she said, “As part of the business community, I believe it is important to understand the people and businesses involved in supporting and making Lexington a success and personally contributing to that success.”
